Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 20, 2026 · AirDesk
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the AirDesk Terms of Service. It describes how the AirDesk phone receptionist, dashboard, text messaging and integrations may be used. It exists to protect your callers, other AirDesk customers, our telephony and messaging partners, and the platform itself. If you are unsure whether a use is allowed, ask us at support@airdeskhq.com before doing it.
1. Use the service for your own business
AirDesk is for answering calls to a legitimate business you own or are authorized to represent, and for scheduling that business's appointments. Each account represents one business. You may not resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement with us, and you may not use it to answer calls for a business you are not authorized to act for.
2. Be honest with callers
- Do not configure the receptionist to impersonate another company, a government agency, or a specific real person.
- Do not have it claim to be human when directly asked, or hide the fact that calls are recorded where notice is required.
- Do not use it to quote prices, warranties, licences or certifications the business does not actually offer or hold.
- Do not use it for high-pressure sales tactics, bait-and-switch offers, or to collect deposits or payments by phone.
3. Texting rules
Text messages are sent through carrier-regulated channels. You may only send appointment confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, and replies to a caller's own request. You may not use AirDesk to send marketing or promotional texts, bulk or unsolicited messages, or messages about lending, debt collection, gambling, cannabis, firearms, adult content or other content prohibited by US carriers. We honor STOP and HELP automatically; do not ask us to override them.
4. Callers' information
- Use the names, phone numbers, addresses, recordings and transcripts in your dashboard only to serve those callers and run your business.
- Do not sell, rent or share caller information with third parties for their own marketing, and do not add callers to marketing lists without their consent.
- Do not ask the receptionist to collect payment card numbers, government ID numbers, Social Security numbers, health information or other sensitive data over the phone.
- Do not attempt to look up, change or cancel an appointment that belongs to someone else, or to defeat the identity check the receptionist performs.
5. Emergencies and safety
AirDesk is not a substitute for 911, a monitored alarm service or an on-call technician. Do not advertise or configure it as one. Keep an accurate transfer number so that emergencies reported to the receptionist reach a person.
6. Platform integrity
- No attempts to probe, scan, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to AirDesk, its APIs, or the accounts of other customers.
- No reverse-engineering the service, scraping the dashboard, or extracting the underlying prompts, models or voices.
- No automated or artificially generated call volume (robocalling into your own number, load testing without permission, call-pumping schemes).
- No introducing malware, and no using the service to facilitate fraud, spam, harassment or any illegal activity.
7. Connected accounts
When you connect Google Calendar or Google Sheets, connect only accounts you own or are authorized to use for the business. Do not connect a calendar or spreadsheet belonging to someone who has not agreed to it.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may warn you, remove content, suspend the receptionist, or terminate the account, with notice where practical and immediately where the violation risks harm to callers, carriers or the platform. Serious violations may be reported to carriers or law enforcement. Fees are not refunded for suspensions caused by a violation of this policy.
9. Reporting abuse
If you believe an AirDesk number is being misused, email abuse@airdeskhq.com with the number, date and time, and what happened. We will respond within two business days.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service and the law change. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email, and the effective date above will be updated.
